MnDOT District Bicycle Plans

Bicycle Plan

Prioritizing MnDOT bicycle infrastructure investments on Trunk Highways.

What is it? Why is it being done?

MnDOT’s Statewide Bicycle System Plan (SBSP) identified district-level bicycle plans as a key work plan item. District bicycle plans will help MnDOT identify the best locations for investment that create better places for people to bicycle.

What progress has been made?

MnDOT’s District Bicycle Plans were completed in March 2019. Technical Advisory Committees (TAC) including local partners in each district advised MnDOT through the process. TACs will continue to meet on an annual basis, at minimum, to continue the collaborative work that began through the District Bicycle Plan project.
